Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Aerial and Underground Construction Supervisor to support our ongoing FTTH (Fiber to the Home) construction project. The role will be pivotal in managing and overseeing aerial crews, ensuring high-quality work is completed according to project specifications and timelines. This position reports directly to the Project Manager and plays a critical role in daily operations and field productivity.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of aerial construction crews and subcontractors.
• Issue work assignments, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
• Ensure weekly production reporting, including reviewing and compiling accurate field as-builts and associated TIC numbers and photos for billing.
• Maintain, schedule, adherence and project quality control.
• Utilize Vitruvi software for documentation, scheduling, and reporting.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and support to field teams.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, municipalities, and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and company procedures.
• Travel to various job sites to monitor project progress and resolve field issues.
• Ensure accurate and timely billing based on field data.
Qualifications
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in general construction, with at least 3+ years in FTTH/OSP field supervisory roles.
• Strong working knowledge of aerial construction practices.
• Strong working knowledge of Underground construction practices.
• Proficiency with construction prints, as-builts, and industry documentation.
• Excellent computer skills: experience with Vitruvi is a plus.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and teams across different job sites.
• Must be proactive, organized, and results oriented.
• Construction Management degree is preferred but not required.
Additional Requirements
• Valid Driver’s License, DOT Physical card (CDL Preferred)
with a clean MVR.
• Willingness to travel and work in the field as needed.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Bi-lingual candidates are strongly preferred. (Spanish, Portuguese)
• U.S. Citizenship or legal resident status required.
