Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Underground Locator to join our team. This position requires a strong work ethic, a focus on safety, and the ability to travel extensively.
Key Responsibilities
• Safely and accurately locate existing underground utilities to support directional drilling operations.
• Maintain high daily production volumes while ensuring accuracy and safety.
• Perform daily equipment maintenance and inspections.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site each day.
• Operate safely and follow all company and industry standards.
• Assist with manual labor when required, including shoveling and ground work.
• Willingness to help train new employees as they are hired.
• Travel extensively to project sites, often requiring extended periods away from home.
Requirements
• Prior experience as an underground utility locator (preferred, but training may be provided).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to maintain locating equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to perform physical labor and get dirty when needed.
• Safety-first mindset with knowledge of OSHA and industry best practices.
• Ability to travel extensively and stay on projects for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
• CDL license is a plus.
• Experience working with underground utilities (fiber, gas, power, water).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
