Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Fiber Splicing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fiber optics and be comfortable working on critical infrastructure projects connecting Central Offices (COs) to cell towers. This position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a willingness to travel between sites.
Key Responsibilities
Perform fiber optic splicing at both Central Offices and cell tower sites.
Accurately read and interpret blueprints, splice schematics, and maps.
Conduct OTDR testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper fiber performance and signal quality.
Document all splicing activities, test results, and as-built records.
Qualifications
2+ years of fiber splicing experience (preferred).
Proficiency in OTDR testing, power meters, and light source testing.
Ability to work from blueprints, construction drawings, and splice maps.
Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
