We pride ourselves on delivering reliable and efficient solutions to our clients. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Aerial Foreman to lead and manage aerial construction projects.
Job Title: Foreman – Aerial
Status: Hourly / Non-Exempt (or Exempt depending on company classification)
Reports To: Supervisor or Project Manager
Direct Reports: Line Technicians and other assigned crew members
Work Location: Outdoor Utility Construction Sites

Job Summary
The Foreman – Aerial leads and manages crews in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial coaxial and fiber optic utility lines. This position is responsible for planning daily work, ensuring job site safety, meeting production goals, and maintaining quality standards in compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements. The Foreman serves as the primary on-site point of contact for field crews, inspectors, and customers, and is accountable for accurate documentation and timely project completion.

Essential Job Functions
• Plan, assign, and oversee daily work activities for aerial crews to meet project deadlines and production goals.
• Direct and participate in the installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial coaxial and fiber optic lines.
• Read and interpret construction prints, staking sheets, and project work orders.
• Conduct daily job briefings, safety meetings, and hazard assessments with crews.
• Ensure compliance with NESC, OSHA, and company safety regulations at all times.
• Monitor crew performance and provide training, mentoring, and performance feedback.
• Coordinate with Supervisors, Project Managers, and other departments to ensure proper resource allocation.
• Operate and maintain aerial construction equipment, including bucket trucks, strand and cable lashing equipment, and splicing tools, as needed.
• Perform quality inspections of completed work to verify it meets customer and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex aerial construction or splicing issues in the field.
• Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, equipment logs, and crew time sheets.
• Submit project close-out documentation, including test results, as-built drawings, and material usage reports.
• Communicate project status, challenges, and needs to Supervisor or Project Manager.
• Serve as the primary field contact for customers, inspectors, and subcontractors regarding work progress and issues.
• Assist in emergency restoration efforts, including storm or outage response, as needed.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Required:
• Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
• Current DOT Medical Card
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5–7 years of aerial telecommunications construction experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or foreman role
• Strong knowledge of aerial construction methods, NESC, and OSHA safety standards
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, staking sheets, and technical documentation
• Proven ability to lead and motivate crews to meet safety, quality, and production goals
• Proficiency in fiber and coax splicing, OTDR testing, and troubleshooting
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in the field
Preferred:
• Formal leadership training or certification
• Customer-facing experience in a construction environment
• Proficiency in digital documentation tools and software used for project reporting

• Physical strength, balance, coordination, and stamina to complete tasks
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs and push/pull loads up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to climb poles using hooks and belts and work at heights up to 50 feet
• Physical ability to operate vehicles and machinery

Work Environment
• Primarily outdoors at active utility construction sites, with exposure to all weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and wind
• Frequent work at heights and near electrical lines, vehicular traffic, and other utilities
• Exposure to loud noises, moving vehicles, and heavy machinery
• May require travel between job sites and overnight stays depending on project location
• Requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, high- visibility clothing, and fall protection gear
• Work may involve extended hours, nights, weekends, and emergency response during outages or severe weather events
