Proficient in pole climbing and working from hooks/gaffs. Experience in Pole Transfer, all types. Ability to learn and apply knowledge of electrical principles May be required to work long and unpredictable hours. Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather. Must have a valid driver’s license.

The Aerial Lineman performs a variety of duties related to the installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of overhead and/or underground distribution systems, and transmission facilities.

Duties
*Install, upgrade and repair products
*Run cable in buildings, lash and de-lash existing cable
*Operate bucket trucks for overhead work, ensuring safe handling and operation at all times.
*Perform utility locating to identify existing underground utilities prior to excavation or installation.
*Climb poles or structures as necessary to access electrical lines for maintenance or repair tasks.
*Utilize hand tools and heavy equipment effectively to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
*Conduct inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
*Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
*Document work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and installations.

Skills
*Proficient in bucket truck operation for overhead line work.
*Knowledgeable in cabling techniques for both high voltage and low voltage systems.
*Experienced in climbing techniques for accessing elevated work areas safely.
*Familiarity with utility locating practices to prevent damage during installations or repairs.
*Strong understanding of electrical systems, including troubleshooting skills for diagnosing issues.
*Competent in heavy equipment operation relevant to linework tasks.
*Ability to effectively use hand tools specific to electrical installation and maintenance tasks.
