Qualifications
The ideal candidate brings over three years of hands-on experience as a Cable Technician, with a strong background in wireless installations, A/V systems, access control, and CCTV setup. They hold industry-recognized certifications such as BICSI, CommScope, CNCI, and/or NCTI, demonstrating their technical expertise and commitment to professional standards in low-voltage and structured cabling systems.
Job Description
-Lead and direct crews to complete job based on plan and budget.
-Must have working knowledge of BICSI standards and installation methods of information transport media.
-Working knowledge of copper data cable. Fiber optic, and coax termination and testing
-Ability to with wireless installation, A/V systems, and access control and CCTV.
-Able to read construction print and other job-related documentation.
-Provide physical labor to install voice, data, and video cabling.
-Be safety conscious and abide by company safety policies.
-Read, understand, and follow the company policies and procedures.
-Able to work with basic hand tools i.e.; screw driver, electric drill, etc.
-Must possess certain hand tools needed to complete jobs effectively.
-Administration and recordkeeping – timecards, change orders, material delivery, truck tickets, plan review/verification, scheduling, equipment rental/return, etc.
