We have 3 tiers of pay. Depending on experience and capabilities will determine your price, please respond with email to receive rates.
Qualifications
Must have 32ft ladder or bigger as most ftth locations are on the side of the mountain. Must have otdr and power meter/light source. You need to be able to understand and read a basic map without help and verify you're splicing the correct fibers at the correct location. You need to be able to legibly write information sheets for each location per specification. All safety procedures must be followed, there is a 0 tolerance policy for safety and drugs/alcohol while at work.
Other Requirements
If all you have is an amazon splicer, you will not be able to do anything but ftth.
Job Description
From pigtail to splitter cans to end of line, you are expected to produce a high quality product per our specifications.
Most locations are ladder access only, but you just have to coil tail neatly at the pole. If the case can be reached with a bucket it needs to be strapped out.
All nodes do not have light, so we put a light source on each 1x32 we work on and leave on the ground. We. hang the splitter case after we are done with the entire splitter light levels
Aside from ftth if you are experienced enough, we have bau, outages and nightcuts. These jobs pay a little less, but you're able to move a lot faster and usually a lot more splices. Outages get paid hourly until you start the work, then it switches to production and you get to charge both.
You will be expected to produce at least 4 locations a day, 5 days a week out of 7. If you're coming from out of town you are required to schedule your time back home and time off has to be approved as to keep general production moving.
You will fill out a detailed splice sheet for each location and email your location will all pictures each evening using our specifications
Correct grounding is required for every case
Ample examples will be given for how each locations is required to be completed, if specifications are not met you WILL HAVE to go back and fix promptly or risk not being paid for that location
Anything above 6ft off the ground you MUST have harness and hard hat. You are not allowed to block any state road without flaggers at any time. 1st offense is immediate termination.
The lowest pay week we've had for a technician is $4300 at the lowest pay tier who did the bare minimum. Most our techs make between 5-7000 every week at the lowest pay tier. We have 2 techs that make $10000 each or more every single week, but they house themselves and complete their paperwork through google drive without mistake.
We are currently also looking for a manager over this area (preferable speaks English and Spanish) to rotate with the other managers for time at home. They will be required to make sure production numbers are being met and on call 24/7 for 2 weeks at a time to cover outages and bau. You will also be responsible for picking up material and other office related matters. Managers receive housing and higher pay rate
Lead technician for every crew/company must be able to speak and write fluent English
Pay is net 21
