Job Description
LEARN COAX SPLICING AND UPGRADING HFC EQUIPMENT.
The Coax Splicing Technician establishes communications systems by installing, operating, and maintaining voice and data telecommunications network circuits and equipment.
Primary Responsabilties:
Remove existing equipment.
Ability to splice and install active and passive devices.
Plan network splicing by studying customer orders, plans manuals and technical specifications
Troubleshoot devices after installtion
Configure amplifier and set node outputs
Utilize test equipment such as CATV Meter, Voltage Meter, Light Meter
Order and gather equipment, supplies, materials and tools, assessing installation site
Keep supplies ready by inventorying truck stock and verifying materials needed
Maintain customer rapport by listening to and resolving quality concerns
Maintain safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations
