Location: Raytown, MO (Kansas City Metro Area)
Salary: $85,000 base salary

o 0.5% of retention (eligible upon achieving 80% of budgeted goals; potential $7,125 per quarter)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and enhance our underground and aerial construction projects. The ideal candidate will lead with integrity, foster a positive work culture, and ensure projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cultivate a positive and productive work environment for all employees.
• Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive company training programs.
• Lead the execution of all projects, ensuring compliance with schedules, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
• Provide leadership and direction to Underground, Aerial, and Splicing teams, including daily activities and weekly planning.
• Manage all operational aspects, including personnel functions and coordination with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
• Approve field purchases, equipment rentals, extra work authorizations, subcontractor payments, and employee expense reports.
• Determine field staffing needs in collaboration with the Field Supervisor.
• Take the necessary actions to meet budgetary and scheduling requirements.
• Serve as a stand-in for the Field Supervisor when needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, vendors, subcontractors, and customers, ensuring clear communication.
• Gain proficiency in customer construction management software.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in operations management within the construction industry, preferably in underground and aerial projects.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to develop and implement effective training programs.
• Ability to develop team financial success metrices.
• Adaptability and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software is a plus.
