All positions will require that individuals sign up with the Local IBEW. Pay will be based on experience and prevailing wages on jobs. Healthcare, dental, vision, and pension all provided by the governing locals.
Qualifications
We are looking for experienced aerial linemen (climbing experience a plus) ADSS, messenger build, lash, and overlash. We are also seeking experienced employees to add to our fiber blowing teams. Experience with Arnco, GMP, Plummet, and Fremco (we own some of each). We have both conventional and microfiber projects so experience with both is a plus. Seeking experienced fiber splicers familiar with AFL and Exfo platforms. We utilize 90S and 90R and Exfo FTB Pro platforms.
Other Requirements
Employees are required to provide their own handtools. Vehicles, equipment, PPE, etc are provided by the employer.
Job Description
We are a consistently busy fiber optic contractor that is in need of more employees to handle the work that we have. We are seeking experienced employees that are able to safely hit the ground running and are willing to work overtime when necessary.
Aerial lineman shall be familiar with ADSS, lash, overlash, and messenger build. We have bucket trucks but rear easement is sometimes necessary so climbing experience is a must.
Fiber cable placement employees shall be familiar with both pulling and blowing fiber. We use Arnco, GMP, Plummet, and Fremco machines. We have contracts placing both conventional and micro fiber so experience in one or both is preferred.
Fiber splicing technicians shall have experience in aerial, and underground splicing (midsheath, and butt configurations) as well as terminating and acceptance testing fiber. Experienced technicians shall also be competent in troubleshooting.
Some travel is available as well for all positions as we will sometimes take work out of market for our customers. When traveling the employer pays for all travel expenses and the employees are paid per diem based on the GSA rates for the area they will be working in.
Pay will be based on location and experience. DC area employees are making $50/hour and benefits are through IBEW local 26. IL based employees range between $40 and $65/hour and benefits are through IBEW local 9 or local 196 dependent on geography. None of our employees who worked for us in 2024 made less than $100k.
