Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, Valid drivers’ license and safe driving practices, Minimum of 3 year of Telecommunication Construction experience, Occasional exposure to dust, dirt and other environmental factors is possible, Repetitive motion is required; will require twisting/bending/climbing, Must be able to read, write and speak English, Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Utilizing Clients monitoring tools/software to support plant splicing & interruptions
Job Description
Gagecon’s Field Construction Technician position is in place to assist achieving the company’s targets through construction of assigned projects, assisting in completion of on demand jobs issued to sub-contractors, and possible on call outages. The Field Technician is also responsible for the general upkeep of assigned company vehicle & tools including maintaining safety practices and cleanliness.
Responsibilities:
· Construction completion which meets/exceeds the client’s specifications
· OSP job site set up (Meeting/exceeding local/state regulations)
· Assisting with teams’ monthly construction goals
· May be asked to perform Field walkouts to ensure proposed design prints are accurate
· Resource for field subcontractors and their success
· Perform field QC checks to ensure quality work and performed per design
· Investigate & resolve field complaints from property owners related to field work performed
· Communicate and work close with the Gagecon Manager on company/project goals
· Enforcement of field safe working practices for inhouse and sub-contractors
· Maintaining Company vehicle and assigned tools
· Daily inspection of assigned vehicle.
· Daily inspection all Aerial lift components before starting work for the day to ensure proper function.
· Daily inspection of all PPE before starting work.
· On-call and overnight support
