We have a full-time need for skilled Fiber/Copper Technician to oversee and coordinate the activities of fiber optic splicing teams, ensuring the efficient and accurate installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic networks. This role involves managing staff, monitoring work quality, and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.
What you will be doing:
Perform Copper & Fiber installations and Repair
Perform installation, maintenance, & troubleshooting of POTS (Phone) & DSL (HSI high-speed internet
Maintain & repair outside copper plant facilities within assigned geographic service areas
Perform fiber installation and repair
Observe all safety rules and regulations
What you will need:
Must have their own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder (28’) rack
Must have their own tools to perform the job
Must have an Android smart phone & ONX - or JDSU Meter
Must have Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Includes lace up boots with a defined ½-inch heel, hard hat, reflective safety vest, fall resistor, and safety cones
Other equipment may be required by local management
Must be available to work flexible hours. Weekend work may be required
Must pass background check and drug test
Able to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks assigned in a timely manner.
