Job Description
EXPERIENCED HYBRID SPLICER – COAX & FIBER
We're looking for a skilled Hybrid Splicer with hands-on experience in both fiber optic and coaxial cable splicing. This is a boots-on-the-ground role that requires precision, professionalism, and a get-it-done mindset.
Required Experience
Minimum 3 years of direct splicing experience (Fiber and Coax).
Ability to read, interpret, and update fiber and coax splice diagrams.
Familiarity with node splits, actives, passives, and OTDR testing.
Confident using a fusion splicer, OTDR, power meter, light source, and coax signal meters.
Field troubleshooting and isolation of signal loss on both fiber and coax paths.
Equipment Expectations
Must provide a list of personally owned tools and test gear, including but not limited to:
Fusion splicer
OTDR (with fiber launch cords)
Signal meters (coax)
Fiber cleaver and strippers
Coax coring and compression tools
Transportation
Reliable vehicle is required. Please include:
Make/model
Vehicle condition (field ready? ladder racks? secure storage?)
Whether vehicle is branded or unbranded
Steady work on major builds and cutovers
Work with a team that values attention to detail, safety, and field excellence
