Qualifications

Experienced coax splicer. Knowledgeable and skilled in OSP construction techniques and practices (underground and aerial placement). Must have a strong knowledge of industry standard fiber splicing techniques and practices. Valid driver’s license. Excellent organizational skills. Please respond if you are a subcontractor who is licensed, has insurance and the ability to begin work without delay. Excellent verbal and written communication, MUST speak Spanish. Bilingual with English is preferred.

Other Requirements

Can work independently and follow instructions. Maintain a safe environment and ensure all safety standards are met. Must take leadership role in establishing a safe culture. Responsible for the overall construction schedule, including scheduling and management of construction inspections and internal inspectors. Responsible for construction quality, inspection, and true up of quantities. Must be able to work in Puerto Rico with own vehicles, etc.

Job Description

TACC Team Puerto Rico has an exciting opportunity for subcontractors/ individuals, who are ready and able to start work in Puerto Rico immediately. We are looking for an experienced coax splicer to supervise and/or work as a technician for a project that will last for a minimum of 3 months with the possibility of additional extensions. Applicants must be able to speak SPANISH.

As a coax splicer you will report to the OSP Construction Manager. The coax splicer plays a vital role in OSP’s leadership team, facilitating and governing field construction. The coax splicer will specifically direct and support the work of our aerial and splicing construction crews.
