Job Description
We are currently seeking a qualified, experienced, and dependable directional boring company to support ongoing underground infrastructure deployment projects. This contract opportunity involves underground installation and splicing of micro fiber and coaxial cable, with a specific requirement for hybrid technicians who are proficient in both fiber and coax splicing.
Scope of Work Includes:
Directional boring for underground conduit placement
Fiber optic microduct and micro fiber installation
Coaxial cable installation (underground)
Fiber optic and coaxial cable splicing
Insulation/sealing of all underground splices
Vault, flower pot, and pedestal installations as needed
Site restoration to spec
Requirements:
Must have experience with underground micro fiber installation (1.25mm - 5mm)
Must have hybrid splicers: technicians proficient in both coax and fiber splicing (fusion splice, OTDR, etc.)
Proper equipment for directional boring in urban/suburban environments
Ability to work with existing OSP (Outside Plant) designs and redlines
Reliable project management and QA/QC processes
Current licenses, insurance, and safety certifications (OSHA, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with hybrid FTTx or FTTH network builds
Familiarity with permitting and locates (811 coordination)
Ability to coordinate with in-house GIS/QGIS-based design teams
