We have a full-time need for a Construction Operator/Welder where you will primarily operate construction equipment and machinery while also utilizing welding skills for various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in both construction operations and welding, with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.
What You’ll Do
Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and forklifts to perform construction tasks
Follow project plans, blueprints, and specifications to execute tasks efficiently
Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure functionality and safety
Perform welding tasks including cutting, welding, and fabricating metal components as needed
Interpret and apply welding codes and standards to meet project requirements.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
Collaborate with construction teams to complete projects on schedule and within budget
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance
Assist in other construction-related tasks as directed by supervisors
What You’ll Need
Welder with Chauffeurs license near Laplace, LA
Experience operator and experience in the Natural Gas Field
Proven experience as a Construction Operator and Welder in the construction industry
Proficiency in operating heavy equipment and machinery
Certification in welding (e.g., AWS certification) preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor and operate heavy equipment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
