Other Requirements
Will need a truck or van with a 28ft fiberglass ladder with hooks, a 6ft step ladder, and basic PPE. We can help with fiber tools if needed.
Job Description
Fiber installs from the PON to the home. Drops can be anywhere from 50' to well over 1000'. Do not let that discourage you, longer drops can pay out more than shorter drops. No fusion splicing required! The drops have a connector that plugs in to the PON and the only splice is at the home. Into the residence will be a pre-terminated jumper all the way to the ONT.
Will need ethernet and basic networking knowledge.
Wallfishing skills are also very helpful.
Being able to complete a sidewalk bore is a must. You cannot leave any trip hazards.
Quality is extremely important and jobs will fail because of the smallest thing.
