Job Summary
Advantage Utilities is looking for a skilled and dedicated Lineman to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunication lines and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have experience with fiber splicing, working at heights using bucket trucks, and a strong understanding of utility systems. Duties
Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic and copper telecommunication lines.
Read and interpret schematics.
Climb poles and towers as necessary to install or repair lines.
Utilize hand tools and equipment safely and efficiently in various environments.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
Maintain compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Skills
Strong understanding of systems related to telecommunications.
Ability to interpret technical schematics accurately.
Experience working with bucket trucks for aerial installations.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various weather conditions.
May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
