Job Description
We’re looking for experienced Fiber and Coax Cable Technicians to join a growing team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining fiber optic and coaxial cable systems. Experience with Altice (Optimum) is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic and coaxial cable systems.
Perform signal testing, splicing, and termination of fiber and coax cables.
Troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure optimal performance.
Interpret work orders, schematics, and technical manuals.
Ensure all installations comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
Provide excellent customer service during installations and service calls.
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications:
Required:
Hands-on experience with fiber optic and coaxial cable systems.
Skilled with tools and equipment for cable installations.
Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of signal level testing.
Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors in various conditions.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred:
Experience with Altice (Optimum).
Certifications in fiber optics or cable installation (e.g., FOA, SCTE).
Familiarity with networking and telecommunications infrastructure.
