Horizontal Directional Driller Locator Job Overview:
GAC Enterprises, LLC, a leading telecommunication construction company based in Greensboro, NC, is seeking a Horizontal Directional Driller Locator to join our Albuquerque, New Mexico team. As a Horizontal Directional Driller Locator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used for underground utility installation, including locating and drilling horizontal bores.
Key Responsibilities:
-Set up and conduct drilling operations according to project plans and specifications
-Locate existing utilities using electronic equipment and mark their locations
-Navigate and drill bores according to predetermined paths
-Install conduit, pipe, and cables underground
-Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines
Requirements:
-Prior experience operating directional drilling equipment and locating utilities
-Strong knowledge of underground construction practices and techniques
-Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings
-Knowledge of utility locating equipment and techniques
-Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
-Ability to work independently and in a team
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Horizontal Directional Driller Job Overview:
GAC Enterprises, LLC, a leading telecommunication construction company based in Greensboro, NC, is seeking a Horizontal Directional Driller to join our team in our Albuquerque, New Mexico market. As a Horizontal Directional Driller , you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used for underground utility installation and drilling horizontal bores.
-Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
-Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
-Provide HDD drill head location services for the HDD Operator around and/or on utilities for fiber installation projects
-Maintains company equipment per service requirements and safety guidelines
-Experience working on the right of ways in all weather conditions
-Communicate work progress and safety performance to the site supervision

Underground Construction Field Laborer Job Overview:
The Field Laborer (underground construction) will be responsible for placing conduit and/or cables in trenches, splice conduit sections (install couplers) as directed, place anchors, pedestals, vaults, etc. to complete construction tasks. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of the telecommunication construction industry. Assist in the loading/unloading of equipment, materials, and supplies needed for daily work. Must assist leadership (Foreman and or Supervisor) with all duties.
Requirements:
-Hand dig with shovels, picks, and digging bars to expose located utilities, access u/g vaults, and pedestals, and complete trenches
-Conduit & Cable handling
-Carry and load materials to be used on the job
-Operate small hand tools
-Provide ground support for backhoe and drill operators
-Fully restore worksite at the completion of work, refill trenches and holes, tamp the soil, replant any plants or shrubs that were disturbed during our construction, place temporary asphalt on streets where excavations have been performed.
-Light repair and maintenance of tools and equipment
-Wash and clean equipment and vehicles
-When required and if appropriately licensed and authorized, drive or operate construction equipment used on the job site to complete daily work assignments
-Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
-Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion
