Job Description:
HelpResource is seeking a skilled and motivated Fiber Optics Cable Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fiber optics installation, splicing, and maintenance, and will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and functionality of fiber optic networks. This role requires hands-on experience, technical expertise, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, test, and maintain fiber optic cable systems in various environments.
Perform fusion splicing and termination of fiber optic cables.
Conduct network testing and troubleshooting using appropriate testing equipment.
Interpret and maintain records of schematics and installation plans.
Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure timely project completion.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting guidance to clients.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all installations and maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
