Job Description
TACC LLC has an EXCITING opportunity for a take-charge individual to work in Puerto Rico. We are looking for an OSP Construction Supervisor to supervise a project that will last for a minimum of 3 months with the possibility of additional extensions.
This will be a temporary position with TACC unless the individual prefers to be a 1099 and will cover expenses (to be finalized upon hiring).
As the OSP Construction Supervisor you will report to the OSP Construction Manager. The OSP Construction Supervisor plays a vital role in OSP’s leadership team, facilitating and governing field construction. The OSP Construction Supervisor will specifically direct and support the work of our aerial and splicing construction crews.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe environment and ensure all safety standards are met.
Must take leadership role in establishing a safe culture.
Responsible for the overall construction schedule, including the scheduling and management of construction inspections and internal inspectors.
Responsible for construction quality, inspection, and true up of quantities.
Representing Tilson on site walks or closeout activities with customers and permitting authorities.
Be able to identify issues that will cause delays and apply innovative solutions.
Strong attention to quality construction practices and ensuring timely close out and delivery of the project schedule.
Ensure Sweep and CLI meet customer needs.
Qualifications:
Must have strong knowledge in OSP construction techniques and practices (underground and aerial placement).
Must have a strong knowledge of industry standard fiber splicing techniques and practices.
Two years of direct experience directing and managing OSP construction and inspection crews.
Ability and willingness to learn new skills, software, and technologies.
Excellent verbal and written communication
Excellent organizational skills
Proficiency in MS Office Products, and Google Earth
OSHA 10 or higher required or successfully complete within 90 days of hire.
Valid driver’s license.
Must be at least 25 years of age.
