Job Description
Apex Group is a leading Engineering and construction services company providing turnkey engineering construction solutions to Telecom, Cable, and Electric Utilities.
The Construction Inspector – Underground and Aerial Construction inspection-Fiber Inspection of the placement of UG and Aerial OSP fiber infrastructure, specifically FTTH Networks (Fiber-to-the-Home)
Responsibilities:
You will work in the field reviewing active and completed telecommunications construction projects.
You will verify active telecommunication construction work is completed to both the Customer’s and Apex’s satisfaction and requirements.
You will ensure internal documentation matches the completed requirements.
You will report issues or lack of documentation or compliance issues to the Operations Supervisor/Manager.
You will make minor field corrections to installations should issues be identified.
You will operate, work, and report via general computer applications and mobile devices.
Document all needed and required information into ProWorks on a daily basis.
Ability to follow OSHA/State/Local Safety Standards.
Communicate verbally and in writing, necessary corrective actions and provide potential resolutions to avoid similar situations in the future.
Qualifications:
Valid Driver’s License.
2 plus years of telecom construction inspection experience.
Demonstrated ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
Ability to interact in a positive manner with internal and external customers.
Ability to travel as required.
Computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal communications skills.
