We have a full-time need for an Aerial Lineman position available in Louisiana, specifically in Baton Rouge. The main responsibilities include installing fiber optic internet services, delivering top-quality service, and providing product education to both residential and commercial customers.

Telecommunication Aerial Lineman
Actively support and assist all Telecommunication Aerial crews, maintenance and new build projects and efforts. Help with site prep and make ready projects in other construction divisions.
Primary Responsibilities: Operate Bucket truck following all safety and traffic regulations (after passing safety course). Assist with pole framing and placement of stands. Climb poles as required Operate hand and power tools of all types. Assist with installation of guys and anchors.
* Read and update as-builts
* Manage crews of technicians
* Provide Aerial Crew Lead Assist with direction of traffic flow in accordance with D.O.T. guidelines

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Mentor new hires as required.
* Have and maintain up-to-date knowledge of technological developments in the industry.
* Effectively communicate with other departments to handle escalating issues in a timely manner.
* Function as an effective team member while supporting the efforts and concepts of other departments.
* Support the mission, vision, and values of Accelerated Communications and Construction.
* Apply personal ethics, honesty, initiative, flexibility, responsibility, and confidentiality in all areas of responsibility.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
* High school diploma or GED required. Some college or vocational training preferred.
* NCTI, SCTE and/or other broadband certification preferred.
* Previous experience in the broadband industry required.
* Must have a working knowledge of construction, the National Electrical Code, OSHA regulations, state and local regulations and general safety standards.
* Class D license
* 1 year experience working in an aerial lineman position

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or carry loads of up to 95 lbs.
* Required to lift 32-foot ladder.
* The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
* May be required to climb poles (with proper equipment), ladders, and other structures as necessary.
* Required to work within limited confines, such as crawl spaces, as needed.
* While performing the duties of this job, the Employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The Employee must be able to work in an outdoor environment year around in all weather conditions. The Employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock, radiation, and vibration.
* Employees may be required to work more than 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.
