Qualifications
Experience Installing Cable TV, Direct TV, Dish, Fiber I&R, Telco experience, CATV, fiber drops, ONT and routers.
Other Requirements
Truck/Van/SUV with ladder rack and 28" ladder, Must have light meter and visual fault locator, Android device, Must have valid Driver’s License, registration, and necessary Certificate of Liability (including Auto, General, Umbrella, and Workers Comp Liability Insurances)
Job Description
We are looking for experienced I&R Fiber Technicians and DSL Copper Maintenance Technicians to perform drop work, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of POTS (Plain Old Telephone), high-speed internet, ONT installations as well as residential Fiber install. This could include wiring, video equipment and voice networks. Maintaining and repairing outside copper plant, & fiber facilities within assigned geographic service areas is also included.
Specific job duties include:
Drop work includes hanging aerial drops, pulling drops in conduit/subduct
The ability to work independently in the field with little supervision.
Observe all safety rules and regulations.
Direct customer facing work, displaying professional appearance, demeanor when communicating products, services to customers.
Accountability/dependability (on time and on load when scheduled and serve on call as needed)
Teamwork (technical expertise developed to complete work efficiently to achieve work group key service measures)
Active listening (ability to take input from customers, APS and co-workers to problem solve and improve skills)
Asking relevant questions to ensure problems are resolved quickly or to clarify information or directions
Active learning (curious seeker of new information and actively works to improve skills and knowledge)
