Qualifications

At least 5 years in fiber splicing (Windstream network experience is a plus). Troubleshoot/fix unexpected job issues. Butt splicing, ring cuts, splitters, and final testing (SB and OTDR methods). Bonus if you can do ribbon splicing! Detailed work documentation a must. Must have a 28-ft ladder. Extra pay for a bucket truck. Be ready to handle emergency jobs and do more than just splicing (pulling fiber or digging when needed). Live in North Georgia or w/in 20 minutes of the GA border.

Other Requirements

Applicants must be willing to handle emergency work on a rotational basis if needed. Some tasks may go beyond typical splicing duties, such as pulling fiber, digging to place pedestals, or completing related tasks. Job Description

This job is ideal for an experienced fiber splicer based in North Georgia who wants to stay close to home but is willing to work beyond an 8-hour day when needed. Many projects come with tight deadlines and a sense of urgency, so we’re looking for someone skilled in problem-solving who can handle challenges with support from our supervisors and network engineers. This role is more than just routine splicing; it requires thoughtful, quality work. Occasionally, there will be opportunities to travel for a week at a time as attractive new build projects arise.
