Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and organized Drop Supervisor to oversee the installation of broadband drop services for residential and commercial customers. The Drop Supervisor will lead and manage field crews responsible for running and connecting drop lines from main fiber or coaxial lines to customer premises. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in telecommunications, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards throughout the installation process.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision of crews: Manage and oversee daily operations of drop crews, ensuring timely and efficient installations of drop lines to residential and commercial locations.
Project planning: Coordinate daily schedules, assign tasks, and ensure that crews are equipped with the necessary tools, equipment, and materials to complete drop installations.
Quality control: Inspect work sites and ensure that all installations are done according to company standards, local codes, and customer specifications.
Customer interactions: Occasionally communicate with customers to confirm installation requirements, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Troubleshooting: Assist crews in resolving technical challenges related to drop installations, such as routing, signal testing, or addressing site-specific obstacles.
Safety management: Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations. Conduct safety briefings and audits regularly.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of installations, inspections, and crew performance. Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for management.
Training and development: Train new crew members on proper installation techniques, safety protocols, and the use of tools and equipment.
Inventory management: Monitor and manage materials and equipment used by field crews, ensuring adequate stock levels for daily operations.
Coordination with other teams: Collaborate with other departments, such as project management and customer service, to ensure seamless project execution and address any technical issues that may arise.
Problem-solving: Quickly identify and address on-site issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize service disruptions or project delays.
