We have a full-time need for a Field Supervisor in Florida, specifically in the cities of Ocala & Marion County, Gainesville, who will manage day-to-day activities in the field and ensure tasks are executed efficiently, adhere to safety protocols, and meet quality standards. The FS will lead field teams providing guidance, training, and motivation while maintaining a positive work environment. Field Supervisor acts like a bridge between field staff and management, relays information, reports progress, and addresses issues promptly.
The Field Supervisor ensures a high level of overall company satisfaction to achieve company goals. This position reports directly to the Construction Manager. It requires outstanding problem-solving skills, must be able to follow instructions and ensure the work environment is kept clean. Tools and equipment will be handled appropriately, and the position needs to be able to adapt to a busy environment
What You’ll Do
- Manage subordinate personnel & multiple teams
- Communicate and maintain all job-related information in PD
- Coordinate all construction activities with client & local/state agencies with regards to assigned work
- Attend company and client status meetings as required
- Perform regular tool, truck, and quality inspections
- Review and anticipate project deliverables for accuracy, risk management, issues, mitigations and meet or adjust client deadlines as needed
- Prepare timelines for the projects, provide detailed daily updates to Market Managers for reports
- - Meet with contractors, permitting agencies, engineering firms, customers, other OSP engineers & vendors to coordinate/mitigate projects
- Utilizes a variety of systems for processing & reporting of work activities, project documentation, new construction, & route maintenance/ protection
- Manage contractors/subcontractors for construction of Outside Plant infrastructure
- Review proposed construction plan to ensure design of network meets budget and expectations
- Works closely with Market Managers to ensure all operations systems are updated to reflect current project status
- Ensures all necessary paperwork, billing, and time entries are accurate and completed on time
What You’ll Need
The knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for satisfactory job performance
- Some overnight & daily travel required
- Knowledge of engineering/construction practices within telecommunications industry
- Knowledge to provide status reports, manage task assignments and project resources and reporting to client
- Familiar with Microsoft office applications and intermediate computer skills
- Ability to work within multiple computer platforms for project management, client management, internal financial &operational platforms
- Effectively communicate with clients on project needs
