Qualifications

5+ years of construction work experience, understanding of all safety requirements per OSHA specifications, Underground, Aerial, MDU, Coax Splicing, or Fiber Splicing experience preferred.

Other Requirements

OSHA 30 certification within 30 days of hire. Ability to: read, write, speak, and understand English, to work independently, to supervise and motivate others, to communicate effectively within all levels in the organization, to handle multiple projects and tasks and meet deadlines, to maintain confidentiality, to make decisions and work collaboratively with others to solve problems, to analyze and interpret data, to show judgment and initiative to accomplish job duties, among other.

Job Description

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the crews or vendors on the project site.
• Enforce company policy and procedure; take disciplinary action when necessary.
• Read specifications, such as blueprints, KMzs / GIS layer files, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.
• Inspect work progress, equipment, or project sites to verify safety or to ensure that specifications are met.
• Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment, using measuring and marking equipment.
• Confer with the Construction Manager, other departments, or contractors to resolve problems or coordinate activities.
• Coach workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, or company policies.
• Establish positive employee relations through effective communication and ongoing support.
• Assist workers engaged in construction or excavation activities, using hand tools or other equipment.
• Arrange or delegate for repairs of equipment or machinery.
• Review and process damage claims.
• Follow and enforce the Company’s policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as requested by the manager.
• Use and ability to learn industry-specific software for a project supporting information, to mention a few: Microsoft Office, Google programs, various GIS tools, and applications.

Working Conditions- Field environment, flexibility of schedule according to needs of operation; on-call rotation and some travel to other projects, within the US states may be required occasionally.
