Job Description
Underground Foreman
Supervise the lay out, assembly, and installation of duct and vault systems in Southern California for both private and public customers (prevailing wage and standard wage). Manage daily activities of 1 to 2 crews. Utilize heavy equipment and trucking to excavate, install, and complete projects. Continually inspect work site for potential hazards or safety concerns. Responsible for safe work environments and comply with state, federal, OSHA and HHS safety policies. Review and approve employee time sheets. Travel to and from job sites in California. Take-Off of materials, aggregates, and project requirements. Coordinate with Equipment Manager and Purchasing Manager
Schedule and coordinate subcontractors. Communicates both orally and written, with local officials, company management/ staff, customers, and others. Performs other duties as assigned. Scheduling crews and jobs. Sending out print to Customers
Collecting Job packages for billing. Preconstruction meetings with Cities and following standards. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Underground Foreman Qualifications
Must have a valid CA Driver’s License. Must have 3-5 years of experience in underground dry utilities. Adequate computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Pdf, etc.) Experience managing multiple crews and multiple jobs
Underground Laborer
Operate and care for construction equipment and machines. Help equipment operator and other skilled labor when necessary. Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards. Load or unload construction materials. Put together and take apart temporary structures, such as scaffolding. Remove, fill, or compact earth, restore and repair all disturbed property. Follow instructions from supervisors.
Assist craft workers. Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary. Perform site clean-up. Travels to and from job sites. Loads and unloads materials on truck. Performs all phases of general and underground construction include but are not limited to loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment. Restores and repairs all disturbed property. Operates and/or works around heavy equipment and machinery such as, Backhoe, Jack Hammer, Jumping Jack, Hole Hog, Roto Hammer, Cut-Off Saw, Portable Water Pump, Saws-All, pedestals, cables, plastic conduit, shovel, rake, sledgehammer, pipe wrench, wire cutters, bolt cutters, cable cutters, drilling shafts, etc. Always maintains safe working habits/conditions. Performs other duties as assigned

High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license. Preferred Class A driver's license. Experience in telecommunications or underground utilities industry is a plus. Working knowledge of basic hand tools and mechanical equipment. Ability to travel to wherever the job is needed.
