Job Description

A Drop Bury Technician performs drop bury services to bury and/or bore underground coax or fiber drop
cables to a single family, multi-family and or commercial customers. Work is completed through companyprovided tools and machinery in external environments, involving sidewalks, driveways, and streets using
hand tools where necessary.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Bury drop to meet systems' specifications.
• Able to identify located utilities, unmarked utilities, and customer equipment, to avoid damages during
the burying process.
• Able to restore jobsite to original conditions.
• Able to stick bore and have proper knowledge.
• Interpret work drawings and instructions and complete necessary paperwork.
• Review all requested and existing services with the customer before installation of new drop.
• Operate machinery including trenching and boring equipment for burying cable.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent, and at least one (1) year experience as a bury technician.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, sit
• Ability to use hands to handle or feet
• Ability to reach with hands and arms
• Ability to climb and balance
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs
• Ability to maintain all safety expectations
• Operate machinery including trenching and boring equipment for burying cable.
• Works outdoors for extended periods.
• Exposed to extreme weather conditions.
