Job Description
Utility Network Solutions LLC is seeking Underground subcontractors for work in Lake Charles and the surrounding areas of Louisiana. Experience is required. This is year-round, long-term work for Optimum Communications in the area. This involves placing conduit via Missile and bore. Placing vaults & Peds per the prints and within the ROW, this is not long-haul projects. Projects consist of BAU, Enterprise, SBS, and Maintenance work. Subcontractors are required to provide all necessary equipment, trucks, tools, labor and insurance. All aerial construction must be in accordance with NEC, OSHA, DOT, and customer specifications. You must work within a culture of safety and have the imperative desire to satisfy our customers’ needs.
Underground Fiber / Coax construction experience
Ability to read HFC maps / prints to understand project scope
Ability to splice coax is preferred but not a requirement.
Maintain visual and vocal contact with other crew members as well as all moving or stationary people, vehicles, and objects in order to guarantee safe movement coordination.
Ability to recognize and enforce Safe working environments in Public Right-of-Way environments to include worksite traffic-control best practices.
Able to produce accurate post-construction as-built mark-up maps. Typically, through red-lined PDF files.
Ability to provide daily production reports via email/excel or additional tracking methods.
