Copper & Or Fiber Only Technicians Job Summary:
Install residential Fiber or Copper to customer Premise - Copper Trained is a plus.
Installation of aerial and underground fiber optic & Copper cables from servicing terminals to demarcation at the customer's premises. Clean and connect fiber cable at the FSAI, MST, and ONT. Technicians must be truck and tooled. Seeking fully qualified techs that have experience with aerial and/or underground cable installation and have worked at heights of 18+ feet on an extension ladder. Strong customer communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to customers is required.
Fiber Technician Responsibilities:
• Residential Fiber Installation
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on fiber optic networks to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Conduct fiber optic network maintenance, including cleaning, inspection, and documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders to schedule installations and service appointments.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Provide accurate and detailed documentation of work completed, materials used, and customer interactions.
Requirements:
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and a reliable work truck (to be provided by the applicant).
• Physical ability to perform duties such as lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
Must pass a Background and Drug Test
