Qualifications
Associates Degree or equivalent work experience, valid driver's license, 2-3 years management experience installing and maintaining fiber optic products and services, 2 years managerial experience of small, remote, field-based teams.
Job Description
The Lead Supervisor OPS is responsible for performing critical tasks to ensure the quality installation and upgrades of the fiber network. OSP CMs report to this position, and the lead supervisor reports to the Director of Operations or OPS Manager.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and oversee the design of the OSP Network.
- Solicit, negotiate, and award installation jobs.
- Direct and assist in identifying, cultivating, and attracting new subcontractors and vendors.
- Project procurement.
- Distribution of work assignments.
- Support field engineers during the testing phase.
- Handle distribution of work assignments.
- Assist with the coordination of execution of surveys, design reviews, and closeout packages.
- Communicate across teams and with subcontractors to increase efficiency and track quality control.
- Supervise and train OSP supervisors.
- Enforce safety protocols.
- Ensure quality control protocols are in place and understood.
