Job Description
**$2000.00 SIGN ON BONUS**
GridSource inc., LLC, is currently seeking Fiber only technicians.
Qualified candidates must be fully tooled and have a Truck, Van or SUV to carry a ladder.
A 28-foot Fiberglass Ladder with Midspan Hooks and V-rung is also required.
CM-8 and Go Digital experience to the front of the line. Please have an intermediate to expert knowledge of Fiber!!
Fiber Installers are engaged with performing installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-speed internet. Also, the wiring and equipment of data and voice networks.
Responsibilities:
• Perform fiber installation
• Observe all safety rules and regulations
• Assist other technical personnel in the performance of their duties when requested
• Must convey a positive and professional appearance and demeanor when communicating the company's products and services to our customers
• Actively support sales and marketing related activities
• Accountability/dependability (on time and on load when scheduled and serve on call as needed)
• Asking relevant questions to ensure problems are resolved quickly or to clarify information or directions
• Active Learning (curious seeker of new information and actively works to improve skills and knowledge)
• Assume all other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Must have experience in the field of Fiber Optic Internet and VIOP Installation (for both Single Family Home and Multi-Unit Dwellings)
• Must understand the basics of copper wiring for CAT5 troubleshooting and back feeding
• Technician must have their own 4wd truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack and 28’ fiberglass ladder with V-rung and mid-span hooks as well as all climbing equipment
• Technician must have their own tools to perform the job. An Android smart phone is also a requirement, and a laptop may be required.
• Technician must have some Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), lace up boots with a defined 1/2-inch heel, and safety cones. Other PPE will be provided by local management.
• Must be available to work flexible hours. Weekend work may be required.
• Must be able to pass Background and Drug screening.
• Must have a good driving record.
• Must be able to lift 75+ lbs. continuously.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks assigned in a timely manner.
