Pay
$20-$38 HR. based on work experience. Weekly pay and Per Diem available for overnight work outside Colorado Springs.
Qualifications
+2 Years Experience with Single Fusion Splicing, Mass Fusion Splicing, Power Meter Testing, OTDR Testing/Troubleshooting. Pre hire test of skill/knowledge will be provided before onboarding.
Other Requirements
Must have valid driver's license.
Job Description
-New case builds as well as case re-entry/re-arrangement in various types of splice cases.
-Loose tube and ribbon fiber splicing
-Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment after installation
-Read and interpret engineering plans and splicing diagrams
-Comfortable with heights & elevated platforms (must be able to work at heights of 20+’ feet) to take down and put-up aerial fiber optic splice closures
-Keep detailed record of work activity
-Ability to safely operate a bucket truck
-Climbing poles with ladders/Climbing Gear
-Utilize standard telecommunications tools
-Maintain proper inventory on vehicle based on work assignment
-Assist with loading of various materials onto trucks and/or trailers
-Operate vehicle, following all safety and traffic regulations
-Ability to safety operate a vehicle while pulling a trailer
-Keep work areas clean and organized
-Any and all other duties assigned by supervisor/foreman
-Be able to perform heavy physical work and perform duties in a safe and efficient manner.
-Must be able to lift, reach, dig and carry heavy objects with frequent lifting up to 50 pounds and infrequent lifting of up to 100 pounds (assistance provided).
