Job Description

Cable East is looking for a Metro-E Supervisor to join our team as a part of our Metro-E department. This position would work alongside all employees within this department: Fiber Manager, Construction Coordinators, Fiber Splicers and Technicians, as well as work directly with customers and other key project personnel.

Metro-E Supervisor Responsibilities
* Responsible for the coordination, delegation, supervision and quality control of project Construction with Metro-E Construction Coordinators and fiber splicing, testing and documentation with inhouse and sub-contractor fiber splicers.
* Perform occasional field inspections for both Construction and Fiber splicing
? Track daily Construction and fiber splicing production to ensure project timeline is maintained
* Manage the day-to-day customer relations, project estimating, and invoicing
* Assist the Fiber Manager in preparation of project documentation and documentation
deliverables
* Keep the Fiber Manager updated on progress of projects
* Evaluate performance and provide coaching for department Coordinators and Fiber Splicers
* Responsible for workforce compliance with all safety regulations including all OSHA
requirements
* Interact with subcontractors and field personnel regarding work completion and resolve
conflicts as needed
* Conduct vehicle maintenance and inventory control of all on-site equipment and tools
* Review and authorize daily work reports
* May be required to perform work along with field personnel (as needed)
* Work primarily in an office setting, but will be required to spend some time in the field
with Coordinators and Technicians
* Participate in an on-call rotation with other Supervisors for emergency support during
outages
* Other duties, responsibilities and qualifications may be required and/or assigned
* Must be available to work weekends, holidays, evenings and overtime, as needed
Qualifications
* Advanced organizational, written and verbal communication and time management
skills to complete multiple tasks/projects.
* Able to be a leader and promote teamwork within the department amongst employees
* Willingness to work collaboratively and professionally with colleagues
* Proficient with MS Office applications
* Ability to think analytically and apply sound judgment, solve problems & make
effective decisions
* Must be able to work nights and weekends, if necessary
* Must be able to work in all weather conditions
* Must have a valid driver’s license
* Must be authorized to work in the United States
* Must be able to pass drug, background, DOT & MVR screenings
