Job Description
Wise Connect, Inc. Is seeking a Buried Service Wire Technician in the Phoenix, AZ area. We will train qualified technicians experienced in telecom underground construction to install underground copper and fiber service drop. Candidates with underground cable locating and termination of telecom copper and fiber cables is a plus. The position includes cable locating and underground conduit/duct dig and fix. Technicians with prior experience are encouraged to apply.
Requirements:
• Technician must have their own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack
• Technician must have their own tools to perform the job. 28’ ladders needed for aerial work. Android smart phone is also a requirement. Laptop may be required
• Technician must obtain the ability to measure distance from terminal to home for appropriate placement
• Technician must have some Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), lace up boots with a defined 1/2-inch heel, and safety cones. Other PPE will be provided by local management.
• Must be available to work flexible hours. Weekend work may be required
• Must pass background check and drug test
Work Environment:
• May perform strenuous activities including, but not limited to: lifting objects weighing over 75 pounds
• May perform job activities outdoors in different weather conditions (e.g., extreme cold and/or heat)
• Must be available to work flexible hours. Weekend work may be required.
• Background check and drug test required
