COPPER I&R TECHNICIAN – POWELL, TN
Job Description
We have open slots for Copper I&R Technicians in POWELL, TN. Knowledge of xDSL, POTS, cable repair and rehab required. Must have working HST-3000 or ONX-580 with bonded module.
Responsibilities
• Installation, maintenance, and repairing of copper systems for residential and commercial customers.
• Ensuring adequate performance of internet, phone and if applicable, television services
• Complete pre-install work order and post-install service verification and customer education to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Place aerial or buried copper drop wire and install interior/exterior wiring.
• Observe all safety rules and OSHA regulations.
• Work at heights by using/setting up various types of ladders.
• Work in confined spaces.
• Teamwork - Assist other technicians in the performance of their duties when requested.
• Must convey a positive and professional appearance and demeanor when communicating the company’s products and services to our customers.
• Use internal systems for work order notation and time keeping.
• Keep customer appointments.
• Maintain minimum acceptable metrics with Repeats, Productivity, and Completions.

Qualifications
• Knowledge of copper plant and premise wiring.
• Working knowledge of copper cable repair and rehab.
• Must have own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack.
• Lift up to 80lbs unassisted.
• Must have own tools to perform the job.
• Smartphone and Laptop are required.
• Must have personal protective equipment (PPE). Including, but not limited to: lace up steel toe boots with a defined ½” heel, hard hat, reflective safety vest, a fall resistor, and safety cones. Location 2
• Effective communication skills and ability to multi-task.
