Qualifications

Proven experience as a Directional Drill Operator in Telecommunications or Utility industry. High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver's license, clean driving record. In-depth knowledge of directional drill techniques and equipment. Familiarity with fiber optic cable installation and industry standards. Ability to read and interpret project specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Directional Drill Operator to join our team and contribute to our fiber optic installation projects. As a Directional Drill Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining directional drilling equipment to install underground fiber optic cables. Your expertise in drilling techniques and knowledge of fiber optic installation will be critical in ensuring the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain directional drilling equipment to install fiber optic cables underground.
• Perform pre-drilling surveys to determine the appropriate drilling path and identify potential obstacles or hazards.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to plan and execute directional drilling projects.
• Follow project specifications and blueprints to accurately position and drill holes for fiber optic cable installation.
• Monitor drilling operations and adjust parameters as necessary to ensure precision and accuracy.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of drilling equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols during drilling operations to minimize risks and prevent accidents.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during drilling operations.
• Maintain accurate records of drilling activities, equipment usage, and project progress.

We are seeking an experienced Directional Drill Locator to join our team and contribute to our fiber optic installation projects. As a Directional Drill Locator, you will interpret the signals sent from underground transmitters about location, angle, temperature and other factors for the drill operator, who operates the drill.
Responsibilities:
• Assist as required in all locating aspects of the project as directed by the Drill Operator
• Handle physically demanding construction duties.
• Assist crew members in placing underground pipes, conduits, manual labor and shovel work, operate power tools
• Some experience operating drilling machinery
• Work as a part of a crew.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during drilling operations.
• Maintain accurate records of drilling activities, equipment usage, and project progress.
• Collaborate with the installation team to assist with fiber optic cable pulling, splicing, and testing activities as needed.


Construction Laborer Perform tasks involving physical labor at heavy construction projects. Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools and small equipment. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials. May assist other craft workers as directed.
Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Other duties may be assigned.
• Operate jackhammers, drills, and various power tools.
• Position, join, align, and seal structural components, such as concrete wall sections and pipes.
• Shovel cement and other materials into portable cement mixers; and mix, pour, and spread concrete.
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
• Smooth and finish freshly poured cement or concrete, using floats, trowels, screeds, or powered cement finishing tools.
• Tend pumps, compressors, and generators to provide power for tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Lubricate, clean, and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.
