Qualifications
Utilize proper techniques to splice Coax cable.· Troubleshooting of Coax utilizing a TDR or volt/OHM Meter. · Forward & Reverse Activation, Node optimization· Strong communication skills required between splicer and tech ops manager so that problems can be addressed as soon as possible. Knowledge, understanding and practice of safety regulations within OSHA, NESC, and NEC, and other construction related guidelines. ·Be able to iterate to the project/construction man
Other Requirements
Must own a bucket truck· Must own a D Sam 6300 or equivalent Meter· Have your own coring tools· Must have proper insurances per our insurance specifications

Knowledge required of a Coax Splicer:
· Telecommunications — Knowledge of transmission and CATV telecommunications systems.
· Public Safety — Knowledge of keeping work area safe to the public.
· Computers and Electronics — Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware/software for keeping proper records.
