Job Description
Wise Connect, Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington
Ensures all construction records, fiber mapping, and as-builts are accurately tracked in company’s systems. Works closely with engineering firms, local/ state agencies and building owners/landlords on new building adds and relocations. Position also requires the capability to manage subordinate personnel. The Construction Manager will ensure that projects are completed to client and internal specification, on time, and within budget.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Coordinate all construction activities with local and state agencies with regards to permitting and licensing.
• Attend company and client status meetings as required.
• Works closely with internal and external groups to manage construction of new fiber network.
• Monitors infrastructure builds and reviews and approves work that meets customer’s standards.
• Prepare timelines for the projects, provide detailed weekly reports.
• Meet with contractors, permitting agencies, Engineering firms, customers, other OSP engineers and vendors to coordinate/mitigate projects.
• Utilizes a variety of systems for the processing and reporting of work activities, documentation of projects, new construction, and route maintenance/protection.
• Manage contractors/subcontractors for construction of Outside Plant infrastructure.
• Review proposed construction plan to ensure design of network meets budget and expectations. Manage budget vs actuals on projects.
• Ensure all materials are available for projects and all operations systems are updated to reflect current project status.
• Some travel will be expected, both overnight and daily travel.
