Job Description

Manages development and quality delivery of all Project documents and deliverables.
Clearly identify gaps in project delivery – time, cost, resource, deliverables, and escalate as appropriate.
Developing and maintaining project plans to track critical path tasks, dependencies, and requirements through the project lifecycle.
Responsible for the overall management, planning, developing, ongoing maintenance, and directing implementation of the Government telecommunications and SIPRNet systems for the client.
Manage and progress track against those schedules.
Develop and manage project budgets that meet Program guidelines.
Coordinate with the Project Construction lead for timing, execution and closeout of individual projects
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in various stages of completion.
Manage project cost, scope and schedule.
Work independently (Program manager and supervisor will support, but candidate needs to work independently with little daily direction after initial learning period)
Telecom Project Manager
Minimum of 7-10+ years engineering, distribution operations, electrical construction or project management experience
Project Management experience with budgeting, project cost estimating, scheduling and planning
Ability to coordinate and integrate work across multiple disciplines, complete scheduling and resource planning activities to drive efficient work processes, identify and manage all project risks, and enhance customer communication and satisfaction.
Demonstrated experience with strong communications with internal and external stakeholders.
PMP certificate or equivalent project management training required.
Telco or Telecom communications - this or related applicable related experience is required for this role.
Supervises the work of others.
Must have excellent written and verbal communications up to and including Senior level leadership.
Must have Agile methodology experience.
Will work with the program manager for Telecom Enablement
Develops and documents Statements of Work (SOW), Basis of Estimates (BOEs), ROMs, Consent to Purchase (CTPs), and Cost Estimate documentation with minimum or no direction.
Conduct all business activities in a manner consistent with company corporate values and Code of Conduct with proper handling of confidential company and customer information.
Engage with customer(s) to ensure needs and expectations are met.
Gather design requirements.
Plan and design fiber optic hardware and cable routing for both OSP and ISP applications
Qualifications for telecom project manager
A Bachelor of Science in Engineering (or related technical field) from an accredited college or university (or related equivalent experience.)
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with specialized coursework in computer science or management information systems
6+ years' experience with IT project implementations (with software, network and call routing design components)
Advanced experience with the MS Office product suite
Proven ability to lead, guide, organize, and finish technical projects.
