Job Description
Turn Around Communications is currently seeking Field Technicians to train as Coax/fiber Splicers to join our team. This position is responsible for leading the placement and splicing of coax and fiber optic cable in the assigned area. Schedules, coordinates, and supervises crew employees. In addition, must be capable of, and prepared to, perform the duties of aerial lineman.
Roles, responsibilities and required skills
•Splice or train to splice Coax or Fiber cable.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
A valid Driver's License
Ability to work on a ladder
Comfortable working outdoors and being exposed to elements
Experience with Low Voltage wiring
Preferred Skills
· Bilingual – English and Spanish
· Experience in pole climbing, strand placement, fiber and/or coax placement, pole make-ready, cable and fiber pulling, and pole transfers is preferred.
Additional Notes
A background check, including drug testing, is required for successful employment. Work is performed in an open, high activity office environment. Overtime work is possible and may be expected in order to perform the essential functions of the position.
