Qualifications
Fiber optic internet and home phone service experience preferred. Must have own truck, van or SUV with a ladder rack. Must have own tools to perform the job and be able to splice. Smartphone and laptop required. Must have personal protective equipment (PPE). Including, but not limited to: lace up steel toe boots with a defined ½” heel, hard hat, reflective safety vest, a fall resistor, and safety cones. Must pass background check, MVR screen.
Job Description
New Connect GPON Underground
New Install off GPON service to a residence that currently does NOT have an existing fiber drop on the telecom's network. This will include the laying of a new drop and pulling through any existing conduit up to 200 feet. This consists of the splice at the house and the connection at the CAN (pre-connectorized). This will also cover the installation of the correct enclosure and all hardware necessary to meet telecom's specs and requirements, including the removal of the old coax drop.
New Connect GPON Aerial
New install of GPON service to a residence that does not currently have an existing drop on the telecom's network. This will include running a new aerial fiber drop up to 300 feet, including up to 2 lift poles. This consists of the splice at the house and the connection at the CAN (pre-connectorized). This will also include installation of the correct enclosure, feed line and all hardware necessary to meet our client's specs, including the removal of old coax drop.
