Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cable Splicer to join our team. As a Cable Splicer, you will be responsible for efficiently and effectively splicing and repairing various types of cables, including fiber optic and coax cables. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead a team. The ideal candidate will have previous training experience, as well as the willingness to travel to different locations as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cable splicing and repair work on fiber optic and coax cables, ensuring high-quality and reliable connections.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify cable faults, damages, or potential issues, and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment to safely and accurately splice cables, following industry standards and best practices.
- Lead a team of cable technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the successful completion of projects within specified timelines.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to develop effective cable splicing plans and strategies.
- Communicate with clients or stakeholders to gather project requirements, address concerns, and provide progress updates.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including splicing reports, test results, and any relevant documentation.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and the team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cable Splicer or in a similar role, demonstrating strong technical knowledge and skills in cable splicing and repair.
- Previous training experience, with the ability to effectively lead and mentor a team of cable technicians.
- Proficient in using specialized tools and equipment for cable splicing, and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and troubleshoot cable-related issues.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Flexibility to travel to various locations, as required by project demands.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
