Job Description
The Fiber I&R Technician position is located in Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire and is full-time. The primary function is to install fiber optic internet services, providing world class quality, and product education for residential and commercial customers.
Responsibilities
• Installation, maintenance, and repairing of fiber optic systems for residential and commercial customers
• Ensuring adequate performance of internet, phone and if applicable, television services
• Complete pre-install work order and post-install customer education to ensure customer satisfaction
• Place aerial or buried fiber optic drops and install interior and exterior wiring
• Observe all safety rules and OSHA regulations
• Teamwork - Assist other technicians in the performance of their duties when requested
• Must convey a positive and professional appearance and demeanor when communicating the company’s products and services to our customers
• Must be accountable and dependable
• Have an ability to take input from customers, supervisors, leads and co-workers to problem solve and improve skills
• Have an ability to adapt to new processes and new information frequently
• The ability to relocate throughout different regions of NNE periodically, to maintain the client’s work volumes

Qualifications
• Fiber optic internet and home phone service experience preferred, but not required. We offer paid training.
• Must have own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack.
• Must have own tools to perform the job.
• An iPhone/Android phone is required, and a laptop is required.
• Must have personal protective equipment (PPE). Including, but not limited to: lace up steel toe boots with a defined ½” heel, hard hat, reflective safety vest, a fall resistor, and safety cones.
• Effective communication skills and ability to multi-task.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Must pass background check, MVR screen, and drug test.
Compensation
The pay is production based. Rates will be provided upon resume submission. Paid training available. We offer health, vision, and dental insurance, PTO, and 401k.
