Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years Coax Splicing experience required.
Other Requirements
All tools and equipment required to splice passive and active devices in a coax plant as well as swap modules and balance equipment as required per system specs.
Job Description
Pre-Build actives to design specs
Upgrade active/passive equipment to support High-Split architecture per design specs.
Upgrade nodes, actives, and passives to end of line to be High-Split ready.
Work may include installation of seizure screw mechanism and changing housing lids where required for module swaps.
Verify RF levels after each active station upgrade for compliance of design specs.
RF levels are to be adjusted via pad and eq only if required to maintain plant integrity. Board level manipulation is not allowed.
Passive device face plate swap includes up to 3 passive devices at same location (pole/ped).
Upgrading and optimizing node station to system specs.
Swap node module to include optics and power components when required.
Node optimization to be completed in coordination with headend technician.
Work Times / Procedures
This work will be Customer impacting and is to be performed in an extended maintenance window 11pm to 8am local market time.
Extended maintenance window approvals and daytime rates will apply for any work that cannot be completed between 11pm-8am due
to access/safety issues.
Plant interruptions must be worked through existing CRQ process following call in and call out procedures.
Customer impacting work must be ticketed through the Regional Operations Center (ROC).
