Job Description
Provides support for project completion; assists with project plan in consultation with appropriate participants and coordinates steps to ensure participation of appropriate interested individuals and groups.- Assists with project status to ensure progress toward completion and required procedural steps are completed fully and in a timely manner.- Seeks cooperation and input in project assignments; coordinates needed meetings or hearings to gather input and meet procedural requirements.- Provides status reports to senior management or other management to keep them apprised of progress and any anticipated issues.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years working in a supervisor or manager role.
A minimum of 5 years of Fiber and COAX experience related to HFC plant.
Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel, Smartsheet
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
Ability to manage emergencies and rapidly changing priorities, and to effectively direct the work activities of others under all work conditions
Ability to supervise and motivate others
Ability to work independently
Ability to read and understand construction drawings
Ability to read, edit and understand fiber optic designs and/or schematics
Knowledge of the physical construction and design of aerial and underground of cable plant including coax & fiber
Basic knowledge of the operation of a signal level meter, OTDR and optical light meters.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Responsibilities:
Oversight of outside plant Business Partners
Oversight of outside plant crews, inhouse and contractor alike
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office specifically Excel
Highly effective written & verbal communication across all levels of an organization
Intermediate knowledge of OSP & ISP construction
Intermediate knowledge of fiber & coax construction practices & procedures
Intermediate knowledge and understanding of design maps & specifications
Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary
Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
