Job Description
Requirements:
Operating and maintaining switching, network, and computer equipment.
Installing, testing, and initializing systems.
Proficiency in wiring and equipment such as multiplexers, DWDM/CWDM, DSLAMs, and digital cross-connects.
Analyzing system alarms, logs, and trouble reports.
Performing tests, troubleshooting, and interpreting manuals and diagrams.
Maintaining accurate records and collaborating with field technicians.
Verifying software and accessing operational support systems.
Working in office and various locations, including travel.
LAN/WAN administration and basic troubleshooting of power equipment and timing devices.
Minimum Qualifications:
Prior CO tech experience of at least 1 year
Meet safety requirements imposed by OSHA, state agencies, manufacturers, and the company.
Ability to handle physical tasks, including perceiving wire cable colors and lifting objects up to 40 pounds.
Willingness to work aloft, climb ladders, and in confined spaces.
May require medical evaluation as necessary.
Security background investigation may be required.
Valid state driver's license with satisfactory driving record if driving is necessary.
